Fencing the Himalayan Farm

We are surrounded by forest on all sides, and we are at the very top of a hill at an altitude of 4863 feet. The forest is predominantly pine with a wide range of fodder and wild trees. The forest also houses to barking deer, wild boars, nightjars and leopards.

As much as we love to share the habitat with other beings, we also do need to protect our plantation from these creatures. The farm will have to be fenced along the perimeter if we want to keep the animals away even in the night.

The cost of this project (50,000 Rs/ 668 EUR / 753 USD) just includes the purchase and transportation of the wire needed, along with the nails, staples and a few metal poles. The physical work of setting up the fence will be done by the farm members as soon as the resources are available.
